Okay, a few hundred years ago, this would probably have been a nice sloping hill, but you have to admit one thing. This has to be a perfect hairpin bend.
Oh, in the late afternoon, it may have been a cinch to take with a wide angle lens, but due to the area being tourist-central, it took a bit of an effort in not having any cars whizzing by. Mind you, it probably took me minute in standing there to take this instead of a second, so I’m not sure if that qualifies as an ‘effort’.
Something about the picture makes me feel dizzy…the downward slope of the road, plus the direction or the clouds and the bend is quite freaky! It's kind of like those pictures that keep moving in front of your eyes. Maybe it's just my aging eyesight though! 🙂 I wonder how many accidents have occurred on this bend. Yep, I think that must win the award for most impressive hair pin bend. Really interesting and scary to look at… 🙂
In photography terms it's a visual delight! The hairpin which leads off uphill into another bend, plus that leaning tree in the middle. It's almost perfect 🙂 Judging by the tyre marks on the road, it's also quite popular with the petrol heads!
Perfect hairpin bend and pretty perfect day 🙂
Yes! A nice day like that doesn't happen too often 🙂
Yep been up an down that hill a few times, I usually am looking out to sea and have never looked at the bend in that way. A great shot.
Yeah, you're right. I'm usually looking the other way as well, as it does give a could ocean view. I really should dig out the photos I took in the other direction!
