Gear

Essential hiking gear.

Well, what can I say? I had high hopes for this ‘gear page’, but upon starting it, I realised ‘talking gear’ is pretty dry and dull. Also, as you can see by the accompanying photo, I don’t tend to take my ‘essential hiking gear’ too seriously.

These days, the eternal problem is gear dates quickly. For example, who needs me to talk about a GPS I’m using, if it’s now obsolete and can’t be purchased any more? I’m fully aware though, an outdoor blog may need equipment-talk to be successful. Quite the dilemma!

There are a lot of other bloggers who are way more enthusiastic about gear than I’ll ever be, so I’ve decided to leave it up to them to do what they do best.

I will do the odd review here and there though. If I’m in the mood, I might pluck something out and talk about it. The problem is, can I do this and not send the reader (or myself) to sleep..?
