Over the years, I’ve sat on quite a few rocks (and fallen off a few). This one on top of Cobaw East is right up there with the most comfortable I’ve stretched out on. If you go there, you won’t miss it, as it’s quite obvious.
Oh, one last thing. I do realise the bloke who named these hills wasn’t the most imaginative. Where’s Cobaw East? Well, it’s east of Cobaw Middle of course. I’m not even joking.
Rocks are perfect to sit on, they keep you out of the mud, off the wet grass, away from ticks etc. But always look for the coiled up snake on the other side, even it it is 5 metre below you.
Yeah, with the wide-angle lens, it distorts things a bit, but it was quite a drop off that rock if I got too comfortable and rolled the wrong way! This one had that nice layer of moss for extra comfort! A great spot there though. I reckon I spent about half an hour there, not wanting to leave.
